This is a remote position.

Southland Organics is seeking a dedicated Chat Support Agent to join our Environmental Services team. This role is crucial in providing timely, accurate, and friendly support to our customers, helping them navigate our organic waste solutions and services. Key Objectives

  • Deliver exceptional customer support via live chat, ensuring a positive experience for all clients.
  • Provide clear, accurate information about Southland Organics’ environmental services and products.
  • Resolve inquiries efficiently while maintaining a professional and approachable tone.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to escalate and resolve complex issues promptly.

Responsibilities

  • Respond promptly and professionally to customer inquiries through chat platforms.
  • Assist customers with questions related to organic waste collection, recycling programs, and service schedules.
  • Document customer interactions and update relevant records accurately.
  • Identify opportunities to improve customer satisfaction and suggest service enhancements.
  • Work closely with operations and sales teams to provide accurate information and resolve customer concerns.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of company offerings, policies, and environmental regulations.
  • Handle multiple chat conversations simultaneously while maintaining quality and attention to detail.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in environmental studies or customer service is a plus.
  • Proven experience in a customer support role, preferably in chat or digital communication.
  • Strong written communication skills with excellent grammar and spelling.
  • Ability to quickly understand and explain environmental services and processes.
  • Comfortable using chat software and CRM systems.
  • Problem-solving mindset with patience and empathy.
  • Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in the environmental services or waste management industry.
  • Familiarity with sustainability practices and organic waste processing.
  • Additional language skills are a plus.
