Job Title: Financial Analyst (Level I)

Responsibilities
Process routine/standard transactions according to established procedures and prescribed processes.
Daily responsibilities may cover one or more operations functional areas such as: analyses, report generation, opening new accounts, trade processing, payment processing, data entry, etc.
Provide quality service and effective and efficient operations support for the assigned area's internal business partners and/or external customers and clients.
May provide advice and assist with training for less experienced team members.
Expected to use some independence of thought but refer more complex problems to Operations Team Manager and/or Supervisor.
Generally, 1 year or more experience is preferred.
Team Responsibilities
Part of the Cost Basis Team, handling branch inquiries and update requests received from clients to Front Line Units submitted via New Service Gateway and email regarding updates and research of cost basis reflecting in our Global Tax Lots system.
Research and resolve transactional breaks that result in inaccurate cost basis requiring manual updates.
Experience working with financial statements and records with an emphasis on attention to detail.
Tax Reporting Operations is responsible for accurate reporting of covered securities and tax lots to the Internal Revenue Service, so the ability to update tax lot records accurately and efficiently is required.
Required Skills:
Proficient with Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word, and Excel
Strong understanding of rules and regulations, policies, and standards
Desired Skills:
Overtime may be offered to support business needs, especially during Tax Season (Jan - Apr)
Excellent interpersonal skills
Proven ability to effectively service/resolve client inquiries
Strong oral and written communication skills
Ability to work effectively and efficiently as an individual contributor in a team environment
Positive and professional attitude in a team-oriented fast-paced work environment
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to adhere to the industry and IRS rules and regulations
