Surgical Technologist L&D Birth Center Nights at UCHealth summary:
A Surgical Technologist in the Labor & Delivery Birth Center provides specialized perioperative care during childbirth in a fast-paced hospital setting. They collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure patient safety, apply evidence-based practices, and support women and infants through surgical and clinical procedures. This role requires certification, relevant experience, and adherence to professional and hospital standards to improve patient outcomes overnight.

Department: PVH Birthing Center
FTE: Full Time, 0.8, 64.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks)
Shift: Nights
Pay: $27.61 - $41.41 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience
Minimum Requirements: - High School diploma or GED or Military trained.
- State Surgical Assistant or Surgical Technologist registration. Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider.
- 6 months Surgical Tech experience or graduate of an accredited Surgical Tech program.

- BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date. BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire.

- AWHONN's and AACN's practice standards and certifications including RNC-OB, C-EFM, NRP and CCRN guide evidence-based care models
- Clinical Educators support and guide individualized specialty education and training for competency validation throughout clinical orientation.
