Armada Analytics is an independent provider of Commercial Real Estate Finance services. We offer commercial real estate underwriting, acquisition due diligence, asset management, zoning, loan closing, and insurance review services. Job Purpose

 

The Zoning Analyst I is an important role within the Zoning department. The position entails working with city and county employees across the country confirming zoning designations, jurisdictions, and compliance. The position requires a high level of multi-tasking, organization, and an ability to stay on top of municipal contacts. The position requires critical thinking skills for completion of Zoning Compliance Reports as well as client communication skills while dealing with a variety of client types.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Engagements of all zoning report types including standard zoning reports, renewal reports, and document retrievals, etc.
  • Pull and review zoning code from public databases
  • Interact with municipal zoning departments by phone and email to verify statuses regarding a property.
  • Review municipal documents to ensure validity, correctness, and making sure they fully cover the property in question.
  • Complete 5 Zoning Compliance Reports per week by analyzing property conformity
  • Track results and answer inquiries of clients in proprietary system
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or comparable work experience required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Organized and detail oriented.
  • Excellent organizational, communication (written and verbal) and presentation skills. 
  • Problem-solving skills to reflect level of responsibilities.
  • Self-motivated and solutions-oriented approach

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of experience in commercial real estate or zoning analysis

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills given the need to communicate effectively in oral and written form with clients, property staff, colleagues, municipalities, and members of the real estate community.
