JOB SUMMARY

Responsibilities include preparation of vacant apartment homes for move-ins and ensuring that established standards are met and apartments are timely turned. When needed, will assist with pool maintenance and grounds keeping. REPORTS TO: Community Manager and Lead Maintenance Technician SUPERVISES: None Essential Functions Prepare vacant apartment homes for move-in. Review the make-ready board and take direction from the Community Manager and/or Maintenance Manager to determine action to be taken on apartment homes. Make all repairs/replacements necessary for the unit to be occupied as outlined on the make-ready checklist. Apply touch-up and full-paint as needed to interior and exterior of apartment homes. Clean out all trash from apartment homes before, during, and after make-ready activity. Inspect completed apartment homes and schedule any necessary follow-up work before designating the unit as “Ready”. Qualifications

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND TRAINING

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

TRAINING/CERTIFICATES/ASSOCIATION MEMBERSHIPS

Certifications as required by State and Local Jurisdictions. Knowledge, Specific And Abilities Skilled in the safe use and maintenance of hand tools, power tools, mechanical equipment, and measuring devices. May be required to handle plumbing repairs, tile work, appliance repair, carpentry repairs, electrical repairs, and all facets of apartment make-ready. Ability to diagnose mechanical, electrical, or other malfunctions and perform repairs or correct problems. Ability to understand and carry out instructions and plans. Make-ready experience is required. Excellent interpersonal skills for interacting with vendors, contractors, clients, and employees. Ability to read and write in English for reading diagrams, meters, instructions, etc. Basic knowledge of Fair Housing Laws, OSHA Requirements, EEOC. Own tools required.
